Project Runway Finale Collections

Posted by Ashley Troub on Aug 14th 2015

If anyone can tell me what I should and shouldn't wear, it's Project Runway. From outrageous to subtle, their fashion inspires many people to dress in a way that tells the world 'we are fabulous'.

That's why I was estatic when I saw feathered hair pieces in the recent runway! Nothing screams fashion quite like an accent piece, and I think these really topped off the look well!

Alexandria Von Bromssen went above and beyond the call of duty this season, and ended it on a strong note.  Check out these feathered beauties from the Finale Collection!

The Mohawks:

This sleek black dress is perfect for anytime-wear, but throwing on the feathered mohawk brings this piece to life! A few 4 inch strips of Rooster Saddle would make this look easy to recreate!

This gorgeous punk rock inspired look is all the rage in LA. Matching her hair to the feathers is a great way to soften this look! Some Natural Cream and Black Rooster Strung or Natural White Rooster Neck Hackle will be an easy match. Don't forget to throw in that Pheasant Feather and a few Ivory Coque Tail Feathers to soften the lines!

These sharp, dramatic lines are fantastic. By adding a pop of color into the center of her headpiece, it's pops the sharp lines of her outfit as well! This gives her a strong look and simply reminds me of a warrior. Remember: strong ladies are always in! 4 inch strips of White Strung Rooster Saddle with a pop of Gray Strung or Brown Bronze Rooster Schlappen is the perfect way to finish this look!

The Crowns:

This shocking piece was brilliantly done. A beautiful paper dress with a crown? How royal! Natural Guinea Trim along a hat is a simple pop and becomes a crown in an instant! Add some sequins and you're gold!

I can't get enough of these crowns. This all black ensemble with a bit a white is great! White Strung Rooster Saddle with the Natural Guinea Trim will brighten up your look!

White Strung Rooster Saddle will complete this look alone but where's the fun in that? I'd throw in some White Stripped Coque Feathers to spice is up! The matching lining in the crown with the top is perfect!

What did you think of the collection? Hit or miss? I can see myself wearing a lot of these!

Feather Trim Fringe and Natural Rooster Feathers are definitely the way to go this season. Send us your photos and we'll post them on our facebook. We LOVE when you send us your creations!
