Halloween Wreath DIY

It’s almost time for scarecrows, skeletons and trick-or-treating.So before you start getting those costumes perfected and the candy stash accounted for, do this quick and easy DIY Halloween Feather Wreath to get your front door or mantle in the mood for all the fun.

Supplies:

Wire wreath frame

3” Burlap ribbon or fabric scraps

Hot Glue

Large Black Feathers (we recommend the feather boas or large black turkey feathers)

1 ft. Halloween Themed or Graphic Ribbon of your choice

Instructions:

Once you have all your supplies ready, begin wrapping your burlap ribbon or fabric scraps around the wire frame of the wreath.Once the wreath is completely wrapped, secure the ends with hot glue. Now that the prep work is complete, you are ready for the fun part!

Begin gluing the black glossy feathers around the wreath in the direction of the frame by working backwards.Overlap the feathers slightly so that none of the under-fabric is exposed. You will also want to cover the quill of each feather with the overlapping barb of the previous feather.Once the entire wreath is covered to your liking you can use your choice of Halloween ribbon to tie a loop and a bow at the top of the wreath to display it from a wreath hook or nail head.

Wow, that was easy and a DIY that you can benefit from for years to come. You can further embellish it to your liking by attaching miniature faux candy corns, skeletons, or a fake black crow. Good luck crafting, we would love to see what you come up with.
