Product Description

 This listing is for 1 yard of bleached white goose pallet parried feather trim. There are approximately 100 feathers in this 1 yard trim. These feathers are approximately 5 to 7 inches long. Goose pallet are similar to goose nagoire but is a little stiffer and longer in size but smaller and higher quality than goose satinettes.
 
They are firmer feather, with a wispy fluffy feather near the quill. The top is round and slightly curved with a paddle-like shape with natural sheen on them. These feathers are very beautiful and are stitched together at the bottom near the quill. Parried is a process where the back quill of the feather is shaved to make them softer and easier to maneuver. They are more expensive than the loose ones, but easier to handle and makes for a neater work area. 
 
Goose pallets are perfect for headband making, headdress, wedding headpieces, mardi gras, costume, earrings and other jewelry craft projects. They are also popular in dress making and fly tying. Feathers are clean, sanitized and ready to be used. Please expect minor imperfection as they are not handpicked.

    Very nice feathers on ribbon, I didn't realize if I selected more than 1 yard (I needed 8) that they wouldn't come in one continuous piece. Also if you are machine sewing on the ribbon to something else, there is glue between the satin ribbon layers and it will gum up your needle - I needed to stop often and clean my needle.

    I have ordered feathers for projects before that arrive a bit bent and deformed after days of traveling (I live in Hawaii). These feathers arrived VERY QUICKLY, not bent and I was very impressed with the quality. I turned them into a juju hat and it looks beautiful on my wall. The feathers have maintained their shape and coloring, even with direct sun exposure. Would definitely order from Moonlight Feather again!
