Dye feathers

Tis black feathers is ok..but when I try to smooth down the feather with my fingers it has black dye on my fingers and I had to wash my. Hands real good..afraid that it will not come off or ruin my fingers..shud have wash well after dyes.. And also it's not good for kids to used on for crafts..but I used them on dreamcatchers..some kids have sensitive hands and can cause irritating...
