Simple DIY Thanksgiving Feather Centerpiece

Happy November! With Thanksgiving and the holidays quickly approaching, this elegant feather centerpiece is an easy, unique way to incorporate fall and winter colors into your home.

Supplies needed:

4 packs- 5 pieces- Ivory Bleached Peacock Swords Cut Feathers

1 packs- 10 Pieces 8”-10” Golden Pheasant Red Tips Loose Feathers

1 pack- 6 pieces Brown Turkey Rounds Secondary Wing Quill Feathers

3 packs- 10 pieces 14-16” Natural Golden Pheasant Tail Feathers

1 pack- 10 pieces 6-8” Natural Ringneck Pheasant Tail Feathers

1-3 pieces of artificial greenery or filler of your choice

Large Clear Vase

Tape

Satin ribbon or burlap ribbon

One large bag of birdseed

Step 1:

Grab your clear vase and start filling it up with birdseed, leaving one inch to a half of an inch of space at the top. Lightly shake the vase to settle the birdseed into place.

Step 2:

Take your artificial greenery or whatever filler you have chosen and place this into the birdseed towards the back of the vase.

Step 3:

Taking the tall Natural Golden Pheasant Tail Feathers, arrange them in staggered lines around the greenery. You want this section to look full and dense!

Step 4:

Next, take a few of your Brown Turkey Rounds Secondary Wing Quill Feathers and arrange them in front of the tall pheasant feathers, this time in a straight line.

Step 5:

Grab your Golden Pheasant Red Tip Feathers and add them in front of the turkey feathers. Placing them closer together, you’ll want to push these a little bit further into the birdseed to allow the red feathers to be fully seen and to add some height difference between them and the turkey feathers.

Step 6:

Grab your 6-8” Natural Ringneck Pheasant Tail Feathers and add them in front of the red tip feathers. Use a lot of these to make the front of the arrangement look fuller.

Step 7:

Add the Ivory Bleached Peacock Swords around the edges of the vase, filling in more towards the front and using any extra along the back.

Step 8:

Attach the ribbon of your choice around the vase to complete the look. We attached ours using a small strip of tape to the ends of the ribbon, but you could tie yours or use hot glue.
